The first thing I need to say is that the procedure
itself is not a big deal at all. That’s
one of the biggest concerns I had, and something
I never really learned until after it was done.
I would put it on the same level as having a
cavity filled at the dentist, though I was much
happier with a local anesthetic than with just
Novocain!
That issue is one that never really gets adequately
addressed, even when you go to lots of websites,
so that’s what is important for me to point
out. Going through the entire procedure was simple
and pain-free.
It starts off well because the people in the
office are really cool. The girls in his office
were really cute, too, and I was put at ease
when one told me she had dated a man who had
gone through a procedure. For a guy my age, those
things mean a lot!
They totally put me at ease, especially because
it’s not done in a crowded hospital or
anything and there aren’t lots of people
around… again, an important point.
On the day of the procedure, my friend brought
me to his office and dropped me off. They simply
said to wear loose, comfortable clothing. A few
hours later – a few really relaxed hours
that I needed because I work so hard – they
had given me a little do-rag and I was ready
to leave. That’s it!
Since I was a little out of it, I wasn’t
able to talk to my friend too much, but the
next day he told me he was totally shocked that
I looked so normal. He had expected something
a little more dramatic, and I think he was even
disappointed! It’s just a plain, simple,
easy procedure, and within a day, I was already
looking normal.
I went back to have my hair washed, and everyone
was super friendly again, and it was all going
smooth.
Of course as each day went by I examined my
hair and would ask my friend what he thought.
First, he made it clear that there was nothing
to notice. I might as well have had a hair cut.
But then, maybe a month or two later, he just
out of the blue noticed that I had a total head
of hair. Since my brother had already had transplants
from Dr. Epstein, and now I had, it was all my
friend needed, and he’s getting ready to
have his own transplants.
Overall, it was the single best decision I’ve
made in my life. It completely changed everything
for me… because instead of worrying about
which way the wind is blowing, or whether it
will rain, or worse, spending an hour in the
bathroom, I just go about my daily life with
confidence and no concern at all. Noticing it?
Not a single chance in the world. There is absolutely
nothing to notice, expect, perhaps, that I have
such a nice healthy head of hair.
The procedure is easy. The results are dramatic.
Most of all, the changes to me personally were
incredible.
